What This Service Involves

Stain brings out the natural character of doors, mantels, railings, and beams in a way paint cannot, letting the grain show through. We sand to an even surface, apply stain in controlled coats for consistent color, and seal with a protective clear finish. For exterior wood facing our wet climate, we use penetrating stains that shed moisture and resist graying and mildew. Matching new wood to existing stained pieces is a specialty we take pride in getting right.

1) Sand and clean the wood to an even, open surface; 2) Test stain on a hidden area to confirm the tone; 3) Apply stain in controlled coats and wipe for consistency; 4) Seal with a protective clear topcoat and inspect

Exterior staining is best in the dry summer stretch, while interior staining can proceed comfortably any time of year.
