Strong Foundations. Superior Results.
Building out and installing bay windows that add space, light, and a bright focal point to your PNW home.
A bay window projects outward to create a light-filled nook and a striking exterior feature. Because it extends beyond the wall, correct structural support and roof flashing are critical in our rainy region, details we handle with care. We frame the projection, install the angled units, and weatherproof the small roof above so no moisture works its way in. The result is a cozy, sunlit space that draws the eye inside and out.
Added interior space for seating or display; Abundant natural light from multiple angles; Eye-catching exterior architectural feature; Custom framing and support built to code; Fully weatherproofed projection roof
1) Design the projection and confirm structural support; 2) Frame the bay and build its supporting roof; 3) Install the angled window units and secure them; 4) Flash, seal, and finish the roof, interior, and trim
Size and projection depth of the bay; Structural reinforcement and roof framing required; Window units and glazing selected; Interior finish such as seating or shelving; Exterior siding and flashing detail
Because bay installations open the wall and add a small roof, we schedule them during drier spells to keep the structure protected.
