Strong Foundations. Superior Results.
Texture matching blends new drywall repairs into the surrounding wall or ceiling pattern.
A patch is only invisible if its texture matches the existing surface exactly, which takes a trained eye and hand. We study the surrounding orange peel, knockdown, or trowel pattern and reproduce it precisely over the repair. This is especially important on ceilings and in older homes where original textures vary. Matched and primed, the repaired area disappears completely under paint.
Precise reproduction of existing texture patterns; invisible blending of patches and repairs; careful matching on tricky ceilings; expertise with older, varied textures; primed results that vanish under paint
1) Study the existing texture around the repair; 2) Test the pattern and compound consistency; 3) Apply and shape the texture over the patch; 4) Feather the edges, let cure, and prime
Size and number of areas to match; complexity of the existing pattern; ceiling versus wall location; how worn or unique the texture is; priming included after matching
Texture matching is a year-round indoor task, convenient during the wet Pacific Northwest season.
