We pour monolithic and reinforced slab-on-grade foundations that give additions and homes a solid, ground-level base.
A slab foundation combines the floor and footing into one reinforced concrete pour that sits directly on prepared ground. We grade and compact the base, lay a capillary break and vapor barrier to stop ground moisture, and place rebar or mesh before pouring to the engineer's thickness. In Western Washington that vapor barrier matters, because our wet soils will push moisture up through unprotected concrete. We form thickened edges and interior footings where loads concentrate, then finish the surface flat for whatever flooring or use follows. The cured slab gives you a durable, low-maintenance foundation with no crawlspace to manage.
