Segmental retaining walls use manufactured blocks that lock together and, for taller walls, tie back into the slope with geogrid reinforcement. This system is a workhorse for Puget Sound properties because it drains well and tolerates the ground movement our soils and quakes produce. A wide range of colors and textures lets the wall complement your home rather than look industrial. We build on a compacted base with a drainage core so water never accumulates behind the face. Taller installations are engineered and permitted to current code.

1) Excavate and compact a level base trench; 2) Set the first course precisely and check for level; 3) Stack courses, adding geogrid and drainage rock as engineered; 4) Cap the wall and backfill, finishing the surrounding grade
