Skirting encloses the area under a raised deck, hiding the framing and blocking pests, debris, and windblown rain. We install lattice, board, or composite skirting with proper ventilation so air still circulates and moisture does not build up underneath. In our climate, good airflow beneath a deck is critical to prevent rot, so we balance a finished appearance with functional venting. Skirting also discourages critters from nesting in the shadowed space below.
