Strong Foundations. Superior Results.
Custom box beam installation that adds the look of structural timber ceilings without heavy solid-wood weight.
Box beams are hollow, three-sided wood assemblies that mimic solid timber while remaining lightweight and easier to install. We build and mount them in grids or single runs to add rustic warmth, coffered detail, or a modern architectural grid overhead. Because they are hollow, they can also conceal wiring or minor ceiling irregularities. We craft them from materials finished to your preference and stable in the Puget Sound climate. The result is a dramatic ceiling feature with the presence of real beams at a fraction of the weight.

1) Design beam layout, size, and finish; 2) Confirm ceiling framing and mounting points; 3) Build and mount beam boxes level and square; 4) Fit corners, fasten, and finish the assemblies
Number and size of beams; Grid complexity versus single runs; Wood species and finish; Ceiling height and access; Concealed wiring or fixture integration
Box beams are fabricated and installed indoors year-round, a productive winter project in the rainy PNW.
