A basement foundation uses tall reinforced concrete walls to create a full level of usable space below grade. We excavate deep, form and pour engineered walls, and reinforce them to resist the lateral soil and water pressure that is significant in wet Western Washington ground. Comprehensive waterproofing, footing drains, and a sub-slab drainage system are essential here to keep the space dry and healthy. We coordinate the wall pours with the slab, egress openings, and utility penetrations so the finished basement is ready to develop. Done right, it is the most cost-effective square footage you can add to a home.

Deep excavation is best in drier months when soils are more stable; we manage groundwater and protect the dig during wetter periods.
